The arrival in Pakistan of BCCI President Roger Binny and the entourage from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), including Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, for the Asia Cup 2023 cricket competition is a historic event. They entered Pakistan over the Wagah Border and stayed for two days.
This visit is significant since it is the first time the BCCI has sent a party like this to Pakistan since 2008. The major purpose of their tour is to strengthen cricket relations between the two countries. They wish to meet with representatives from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to discuss topics of mutual interest.
They will watch the Asia Cup 2023 cricket matches while they are here. They will also attend an official dinner at Lahore’s Governor’s House. This is a nice way of expressing their desire to collaborate and get along. This sporting event acts as a forum for establishing strong relationships and spreading the passion for cricket throughout the region.
