FDA has recalled two brands of eye drops, Dr. Berne’s MSM Drops 5% and Lighteyez MSM Eye Drops, due to potential bacterial and fungal contamination. The recalled eye drops were distributed nationwide and were sold online and in retail stores.

The FDA is warning people not to use these eye drops and to return them to the place of purchase for a refund. The agency is also advising people who have used these eye drops to see their doctor if they experience any eye pain, redness, or discharge.

The potential contamination of these eye drops is a serious health hazard. Bacteria and fungi can cause a variety of eye infections, including keratitis, which can lead to permanent vision loss.
