Pakistan performed well by fielding an extra pacer. They were defeated in the middle phase by India, but they learned their lesson, and it was Faheem Ashraf who made the crucial breakthrough in the intermediate phase. That merely made it easier for people like Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf to rush through the tail. Previously, the pace attack was just another day at the office. Shah took the first wicket, then Shaheen Afridi took the important wicket of Das. Haris Rauf, on the other hand, was the pick of the bowlers, bowling with incredible pace and discipline to finish with a four-fer.
